Born on October 3, 1929 in Port Arthur.
Pat passed away peacefully on November 29, 2004. Predeceased by his wife of 45 years Rosemary (Babe) and by son Danny who passed away at 42 years old.
He will be sadly and lovingly missed by his daughter Penny Southern (George) and his sons Rick (Irene) and Casey (Anne) Kelly. He was the proud grandfather of Clint, Jason, Pamela, Curtis and Shelby and great grandfather to Sarah and Danielle. Also survived by his sister Rosemary (Oceanside, California). Brothers Dr. Dick Kelly (Jean of Winnipeg) and David Lawrence (Barb of Sault Ste. Marie) and many nieces and nephews.
Pat travelled from Marathon, Ontario across Canada with his family of six in a 1953 Pontiac to be part of the start-up of Crofton Pulp Mill in 1957. He worked there 35 years, retiring in 1991, making many live time friends along the way.
He loved his home on Fuller Lake, also salmon fishing, camping and his winter get-aways to southern California.
Service will be held at
St. Joseph’s Church, Chemainus on Thursday, December 9, 2004 at 1:00 p.m., followed by refreshments at Royal Canadian Legion from 2 - 5 pm.
In lieu of flowers a donation to the Cancer Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
