KITCHEN, PATTY JOAN
September 25, 1959 – June 18, 2011
Suddenly on June 18, 2011, Patty Kitchen (nee Collinson) passed away. Patty was born September 25, 1959 in Chemainus. She grew up in Crofton and spent all of her life there.
Patty was a vibrant, loving and witty person who lit up the room wherever she went. Words cannot express the depth of our sorrow. She loved life, her family and time spent in the garden. She was a loving mother to her son Chris and a devoted daughter to her mother Pat. She had a great circle of friends whom she shared many happy times with; all who will dearly miss her.
Patty was predeceased by her father Ron Collinson in 2008. She is survived by her son, Chris Kitchen; her mother, Pat Collinson; brothers, Ron and Ted (Darlene), sisters, Evelyn Thomson (Gordon) and Linda Lockhart (Lloyd) nieces, Sandra (Carmen), Tracey, Jenny, Laura (Darryll), Jane (Cal) and children; and Jill, nephews, Travis (Sherri) and children and Alex, also many uncles, aunts and cousins.
We would like to thank the Crofton First Responders for their valiant efforts , the ambulance attendants and the great team of nurses and doctors at the Cowichan District Hospital who worked so hard to save her.
Patty enjoyed many morning walks along the Crofton Seawalk with her mother and Etta.
