It is with much sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our dad, grandfather and brother, Robert Erskine, on April 6, 2023. Dad was born in Ladysmith, BC on August 21, 1929 and lived in Ladysmith all his life.
Dad is survived by his children Karen, Wayne, Laurie (Dan) and Janelle (Craig), and his sister Geraldine Rukin. He is also survived by his grandchildren David (Carissa), Tracy, Robyn (Brent), Dayna (Kevin), Tyler, Katelyn, Nathan and Zoe and his great grandchildren Brayden, Annika, Nolan, Harper and Ella.
Predeceased by his wife, Dorine Erskine, in 2015 and his daughter, Kathy Erskine, in 2018. He was also predeceased by his parents, James and Louise Erskine.
Dad was an active member of St Mary's Catholic Church. His faith was a very important part of his life.
Dad was a lifelong Toronto Maple Leaf and LA Dodgers fan. We are sure he will be rooting for his teams from heaven.
Prayers were celebrated on April 12, 2023 at St Mary's Catholic Church at 7:00 PM.
Mass of the Christian Burial was held at St Mary's Catholic Church on April 13, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Father Mel Bayron Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice in memory of dad.
