In loving memory ~

Our family is deeply shocked and saddened to announce the sudden passing of Robert Earl Irwin.

Born in Radisson, Sask. Dec 6, 1944, he passed away at home in Yellow Point, B.C. on Nov 13, 2023.

Bob was predeceased by parents Fred and Grace (Wragg) and first wife Shirley (Goa). He is survived by his loving wife Christine Lamontagne, sons Scott (D'Arci) and Derek (Stephanie), stepchildren Mandie and Cole, and his beloved grandchildren Cymone, Gavin and Valentina.

Born the 3rd of 4 siblings, he is also survived by his sister Barbara (Walter) Prystupa of Langley, brothers Brian (Carol) of Calgary and Don (Yvonne) of Prince Albert, their families, numerous nieces and nephews and Christine's extended family.

Bob spent his early years on the family farm near Borden, Sask, and came to the Island in 1966. He soon became a longshoreman and was a proud member of Local 508 for 39 years.

"Pause", as he was known to many, had various interests ranging from John Deere collectibles to the American Civil War and Old West memorabilia. He was a huge fan of Blue Jays baseball, the Montreal Canadiens at the time of Guy LaFleur, and Nascar.

A homebody in retirement he treasured most the time spent with family and friends.

He was deeply loved and

will be greatly missed.
