Ruby Harris Sr.
HARRIS – Ruby Sr. passed away surrounded by her family on September 2nd, 2015 at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. Age 77 years. Born on September 27th, 1937 in Duncan, BC.
Predeceased by her husband Anderson in 2007. Survived by her seven children, David, Kirk, Angela, Rhonda, Carol, Francis, and Ruby; 58 Grandchildren, and 38 Great Grandchildren; sister, Vivian Bob; brothers, Francis, Roger, Perry, and Gordon.
Mary was very active in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Ladysmith and served on the council and was a Eucharist minister for over 30 years. A loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Her memory will be cherished in the hearts of all those lives she touched.
Prayers were offered in the First Nations Community Hall, Shell Beach Road, Ladysmith, BC on Friday, September 4th, 2015 at 7:00 pm. Mass for the Christian Burial of the Dead, was celebrated on Saturday, September 5th, 2015 at 9:00 am. Father Melquiades Bayron, Celebrant. Interment in Schell Beach Cemetery, Ladysmith, BC.
