HEPBURN, Stanley Jack October 13, 1923 - March 23, 2007. After a long and courageous battle with bone cancer, Jack passed away peacefully with family by his side. Predeceased by his two brothers Russell and Douglas, and his sister Dorothy. He leaves his loving wife of 56 years, Ramona, his two sons Stephen (Rosanna) Gregory and daughter Tracey (Ken), four grandchildren, Anthony, Stephanie, Jennifer and Danny, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews and many good friends.
In his earlier years, he was a member of the Calgary Symphony and an accomplished pianist. He taught piano among other occupations, until he found his passion for the Hotel/Motel Industry. Moving to Victoria in 1959, he became president of the Motel Association and continued in the industry until his retirement in 1988. He and Ramona moved to Ladysmith where he quickly became involved in many volunteer positions including the Cancer Society and Ladysmith Resource Centre. He was truly a people person and everyone loved Jack. He will be greatly missed by all. Many thanks to all the home care workers and health professionals. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ladysmith Resource Centre or the Ladysmith Cancer Society. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at 1:00 pm in the Ladysmith Eagles Hall corner of 1st Avenue and French Street.
