It is with great sadness that we announce Vi’s passing. She slipped peacefully away on Friday, February 24, 2006 at Dufferin Place.
Born in Nordegg, Alberta on October 10, 1917.
Vi came to Naniamo with her family in 1929. She loved to cook and always welcomed people to her home and table. Vi brightened the lives of family and friends with her laughter and willingness to help others.
Vi was predeceased by her parents Frank and Catherine, brothers: John, Tony and Frank, sisters: Susie, Theresa, Florence, Mary and Julie.
Left to remember her is her beloved son Don (Andrea) Sariana, brothers Arthur (Jean) and Albert, sisters: Rose and Nettie, numerous nieces, nephews and friends who shared so many wonderful times with “Auntie Vi”.
A special thank you is extended to all her care givers at Dufferin Place, Arbutus Wing.
A memorial service was held on Monday, March 6, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. at the Neighbourhood Church, 4951 Rutherford Road, Nanaimo, BC. Pastor James Towes officiating.
