The driver of a Honda Civic was charged on Wednesday afternoon after a collision on the Trans-Canada Highway in Ladysmith.
Local RCMP allege the motorist ran a red light at the intersection of the highway and Edgelow Road South before being struck by a pickup truck.
The accident occurred just after 12:30 p.m. heading northbound.
No one was injured in the collision but the passenger side of the Honda was badly damaged and the vehicle was hauled away by a tow truck.
RCMP have charged the driver with failing to stop at red light.
