Male allegedly commits indecent act near Ladysmith park

Ladysmith RCMP are searching for a man who was allegedly seen committing an indecent sexual act near Forrest Field over the weekend.

Ladysmith RCMP are searching for a man who was allegedly seen committing an indecent sexual act near Forrest Field over the weekend.

Police said a report was received about the lone male near the soccer fields on 4th Avenue in Ladysmith at approximately 4:45 p.m. on Sunday.

“RCMP attended and after a thorough search, including the treed area the suspect was seen, were unable to locate the adult male,” said Staff-Sgt. Ken Brissard.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, six feet tall and in his mid to late 20s.

He was seen wearing a black ball cap, black sunglasses, black baggy sweatpants, a black t-shirt and a blue wind breaker jacket.

Ladysmith RCMP are asking anyone with information regarding the alleged incident or the suspect’s identity to contact investigators, the nearest detachment, municipal police department, or Crimestoppers, referencing file number 2016-3792.
