Cowichan Rugby Club is planning a big 50th anniversary celebration on Sat., July 21.
Fifty consecutive years of rugby will be commemorated with an all-day affair at the Herd Road Grounds.
It starts at 11:30 a.m. with a game between the provincial champion Cowichan women and Nanaimo.
At 12:30 p.m., it’s the Cowichan elderlies against the Ebb Tide. The presidential lunch is at 1:30 p.m. for the old boys and founding members, followed by a 2:30 game between the sons of Cowichan and the President’s XV.
