Ladysmith’s Shea Battie netted two goals as the VIU Mariners tied the Capilano Blues 3-3 at Forrest Field over the weekend.
The freshman midfielder leads the team in scoring with three goals in eight games, also ranking her third in the PacWest Conference.
In other play at the Ladysmith turf field on Sunday, the VIU Mariners Men shut out the Blues 2-0, the U18 Boys Mid-Isle Mariners topped Harbour City FC and the U21 Mid-Isle Mariners blanked Juan de Fuca 1-0.
